"For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning."
- T.S. Eliot.
This is a quote that one of my teachers has used to bring in the new year. I think it's all about leaving last year, its faults, mistakes, and misdoings, in the past, and moving on. This is not to say, that we shouldn't learn what we can from those things, but dwelling on the past, especially on things that cannot be changed, is not healthy. The end of something is just the beginning of another. The future of 2009 is not determined, and the year will be what I make of it. T.S. Eliot, is obviously a wise man, and this was the perfect quote to help me reflect, both on the past, and the future.

Very good explication. I like the hope the quote inspires and also the way that how we write about our future may be different than how we lived and wrote about our past.
